Livingston
Funeral services for Helen (Barber) Hennes, 88, Park county pioneer and teacher, will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Franzen Chapel in Livingston. Burial will be in the Sedan cemetery.
She died Monday in a Livingston rest home following a long illness.

She was born May 11, 1880, near Plymouth, Wisconsin, and taught school there until coming to Livingston in 1912, where she taught in elementary schools for several years.

In 1915, she was married to Asa Hennes in Livingston. They ranched near Wilsall until his death in 1955. She taught in rural Park County schools for many years. In 1957, she moved to Livingston and has lived there since.

She was a member of the Livingston Congregational Church and Park County Pioneers Society.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews in Wisconsin and a nephew, Harrie B Landers of Wilsall.
