DELAVAN - Russell Louis Lusher, 70, of Delavan died at
8:16 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2006, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas.
He was born Jan. 16, 1936, in Delavan to Elmer and Ruby Cremeens Lusher. He married Rosita L. Wilcoxson on June 15, 1957, in Mason City. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Pamela G. Lusher of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Aaron Louis Lusher and Courtney T. Colegrove; two brothers, Richard (and Virginia) Lusher and Leroy (and Darla) Lusher, both of Delavan; and one sister, JoAnn (and Roger) Kincaid of Delavan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two half-brothers.
Russell worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 31 years, retiring in 1985, and served in the Illinois National Guard for nine years.
He was an active member of Delavan Baptist Church, where he held numerous positions.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Delavan Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Stewart will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Davis Mortuary, Delavan Chapel. Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan.
