He taught all grades of school, from the primary through high school in Boulder, CO, Washington, D.C., California and Japan. He later became a computer specialist for teachers in Germany and Sardinia. He married Jutta E. Schwarze, June 17, 1978 in Venne, Germany. He died at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal at age 58.
