Harold was a son of Josephine and Harry Brunson. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in the Asian Pacific. He was an excellent auto mechanic for most of his life.

He was preceeded in death by two infant sons.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda (John) Childers and Cindy (Jon) Grimsley, four grandchildren, Andy (Sandy) Pinkham, Todd (Susie) Pinkham, Adam (Lindsay) Porth and Matt Grimsley; four great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson.
