Bernie Wade
Oct 22, 1936 - Mar 1, 2024Bernadette F. "Bernie" Wade, 87, of Evansville, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Linda E. White Hospice House.
Bernie was born on October 22, 1936 in Evansville to the late Earl and Amelia (Antey) Mosby. She was a homemaker and an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, IU basketball, the Indianapolis Colts and Mater Dei and Reitz High Schools.
Surviving Bernie are her daughter, Brenda (Billy) Glenn; stepson, Butch (Beverly) Wade; brother, Jim (Barb) Mosby; three grandchildren, Jody Glenn, Brett Wade and Bradley Wade and a great granddaughter, Addison Wade.
In addition to her parents, Bernie was preceded in death by her husband Donald Wade in 2020; by sisters, Kathleen Weimer and Mary Tieken and by brothers, Thomas "Tommy" Mosby, Carl "Pete" Mosby, Norman "Red" Mosby, Bill Mosby and Don Mosby.
Funeral services and entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery will be private.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Buddy's Promise – Furever Home, 2904 S. Weinbach Ave, Evansville, IN 47714.
