Her girlhood was passed with her parents and members of the family in this section. She was married Dec. 26, 1860 to John William Tyler, Jr., son of Rev. John William Tyler of Decatur. Mr. Tyler died in August 1921. No children were born to this couple, but several nephews and nieces were taken and reared to manhood and womanhood by Mr. and Mrs. Tyler. Mrs. Tyler was a member of the Church of the Disciples of Christ, having been baptized into this faith by the late Rev. John W. Tyler Sr. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mattie E. Bridges of Decatur; and two nieces, Miss Mattie Calhoun, who lived with her, and Mrs. F. B. Weikel of Decatur. Funeral services will be conducted in Brintlinger's chapel, at a time to be announced later.
