Guy Edward Amos, age 56, of Castlewood, Va., passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Born in Russell County, Va., on June 25, 1967, he was the son of the late Thurman Edward and Goldie Ellen Cantrell Amos.

 

Guy was devoted to his family. He loved motorcycles, playing the guitar, working on vehicles and working on anything with his hands.

 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kayla Dawn Amos; brother, Bill Amos; sister, Patricia Grizzle.

 

Survivors include four children, Kristy Howell and husband Ryan, Dustin Amos and fiancée Susan Williams, Grayson Amos, and Adam Amos; fiancée, Helen Dean; brother, Mark Amos and wife Judy; six grandchildren, Jason Easterling, Braxton Chenault, Stoney Ryan Ringley, Arianna Burton, Joshua Howell, and Allyssa Nichole Amos; numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Pallbearers will be Mark Amos, Jody Grizzle, Brian Amos, Kevin Amos, Aaron Amos, Jason Amos, and James Skeens.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Timothy Collins officiating.

 

Interment will be private.

 

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
