Clark I. "Pete" Fishbaugh, 81, died at 5:21 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 31, 2007) at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse. Mr. Fishbaugh worked for Neterer's Bakery in Huntington and retired from J.C. Manufacturing in North Webster where he worked as an upholstery shop employee. He served in the Navy during World War II as a gunner's mate 3rd class and received the World War II Victory Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, two Bronze Stars and a Combat Action Ribbon.
He lived for 14 years in Montana and Idaho before moving to Huntington and then to North Webster in 1966. He and his wife spent the winter in Honolulu, Hawaii for nearly 20 years.
He was a member of the VFW in Syracuse and the American Legion in North Webster.
Mr. Fishbaugh was born June 14, 1925 in Fort Benton, Mont., to Isaac Wallace and Vercie Spath Fishbaugh. He married Madonna "Jeannine" Voght Oct. 27, 1946. His wife survives in North Webster.
Other survivors include three sons, Michael Fishbaugh of East Point, Ky; Stephen Fishbaugh of Fort Wayne and Ronald Fishbaugh of North Webster; a daughter Linda Waltz of Pierceton; a brother, Donald Fishbaugh of Huntington; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Marybell Ward of Roanoke. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Randall, Ellen Buck and Ruth Butts; six brothers, Jim Fishbaugh, Forrest Fishbaugh, John Fishbaugh, Tom Fishbaugh, Glenn Fishbaugh and Sam Fishbaugh and one infant brother.
There is no visitation planned. The family will hold private services with Pastor Jack Worth officiating. Burial will be at North Webster Mock Addition.
