George Bryan Guthrie Jr, 59, of Lincolnton, NC passed away February 29th, 2024. Whether you knew him by George or Bryan you knew he was a character who could cut right to the punchline of anything. He embodied a spirit of kindness and raw fun-loving emotion that rubbed off on all he met. Bryan loved being in the know and wanted to be the first to tell you about his new shopping spot, hole-in the wall diner, or gadget he had found. Be careful saying you liked any of them gadgets because next week you'd end up with 2 dozen flashlights to set you up for life.

George was a man of many interests; be it clearing the land on a tractor, working on old junk cars, feeding the fish at his pond, helping a freshly birthed calf, talking to his cats, or jamming gears in a cab-over he was in his element.

Friends and family are invited to gather Saturday March 2nd, 2024 from 3pm-5pm at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd, Gastonia for a celebration of his life. Jeans, coveralls, flannel, and your best trucker hat are encouraged.

Bryan is preceded in death by his parents George and Joyce Guthrie. He is survived by his wife Kim; Sons Shane and Casey and wife Katie; Sisters Regina and husband James, Beverly and husband Jerry; 4 grandchildren.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
