Donald E. Jordan, 75, of Chillicothe, IL, formerly of 203 East St. in Xenia, died at 5:31 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2005, at ManorCare Health Services in Peoria.

Born Sept. 15, 1929, in Clay County to Alva and Viola Charleston Jordan, he married Betty I. Scott on Nov. 28, 1951, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Donna (and Richard) Baker of Chillicothe and Jean (and Mark) Shepard of Pekin; two sons, Charles (and Kathleen) of Rome and Ron of Sparland; one sister, Vivian Hill of Aurora, CO; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

He was a Korean War Army veteran.

A mechanic for 40 years, he worked for Bower Buick and Heritage Buick, both in Peoria.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Camp Ground Cemetery in Xenia. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
