Mr. Doyle R. Eubanks Sr., 73, of Panama City, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at his home. He was born in Bonifay, Fla., and had lived in Bay County most of his life. Doyle was retired as the budget director for the City of Panama City, Fla., after 30 years service. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Panama City, where he was a member of Bob Forbus' Sunday school class. Mr. Eubanks served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Eubanks. Survivors include his son, Ray Eubanks Jr. and wife Luwanda of Tallahassee; one brother, Richard Eubanks and wife Katherine of Lantana, Fla.; two sisters, Donna Eubanks and Jo Essma and husband Eric, all of Panama City; and two grandsons, Nick and Hunter Eubanks. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow at Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, Jan. 8, 2005, from 5 until 7 p.m. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Bob Forbus, Earl Hadaway, Henry Kracke, Joe Leake, Chuck Seal and Tom Torgersen. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Eubanks' name may be made to "Building for the Future" at the Morningside Baptist Church, 1560 Pedrick Road, Tallahassee, FL 32317.
