My Only Son. In Memory of A. C. Morton, born October 1st 1844, Died August 5th 1867. Aged 22 years, 10 months and 4 days. At rest with Jesus. I have gone from you, Mother. To the dark and silent tomb. But Jesus will be with me, Mother. To guide me through the gloom. I'm resting with my Saviour Mother. In Heaven that blest abode, Prepare to meet me there, Mother. To dwell in happiness with God. Weep not for me, Mother. To grieve it is in vain; my hopes in Christ, O' Mother dear, In Heaven we'll meet again.
