Anne was included in Joseph Hackney's 1830 will as his daughter Anney (dec'd). Lard Sellars was to receive her share of his estate.
Anne left Chatham County in mid 1803 for Wilson County, TN along with her sisters Elizabeth and Sarah, and her aunt Lydia Hackney Howard. All four of the families are listed as early Wilson County settlers by both Goodspeed's and Drake's histories of early Wilson County.

Census enumerations show Anne had a son born between 1825-1830 whose name is not known. She is assumed to have died a year before Lard remarried to Elizabeth Goodwin in 1830. Elizabeth finished raising the Hackney children and had three of her own.
