She was born May 11, 1916 in East Palestine, a daughter of the late Grace Ward (Wait) and Russell Hough. A graduate of East Palestine High School in 1934. She was a member of the T.O.P.S. Club of East Palestine, reaching her K.O.P.S. in 2005. She formerly belonged to the Monday Night Card Club. She was a homemaker and avid card player. She also enjoyed making many afghans, plastic crafts, gardening, and even canning at the age of 88. She had attended the East Fairfield United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death on October 17th of last years, by her husband, Harry W. Coblentz , whom she married August 28, 1938. Her two brothers, Earl and Dale Hough, and her granddaughter, Annette Morris also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol Lippincott and her husband, Neil, of Minerva; Janice Ice of East Liverpool; and two sons, Ralph Coblentz and his wife, Jean, of Columbiana, and Wilbur, and his wife, Gerri, of East Palestine.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine. Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
