The following obituary was printed in the Warsaw, NY., Wyoming County Times, Wednesday August 2, 1905.
"PIKE- Mrs. Samantha Church, relict of the late Oliver Church, died Wednesday of last week. She had been out of health for some time. She was 87 years of age. She was the daughter of Moses Lyon, and the sister of Smith, and Josephus Lyon, formerly of this place. She was the last of a large family. She leaves two children, Fred, unmarried, and Eva, widow of the late David Sweet.
