Mr. Gary Beasley Sr., age 74, of Oak Park, died Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Oak Park and lived most of his life in Oak Park. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a paratrooper. Gary was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the United Fellowship Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed, gardening, fishing, playing cards, and riding his golf cart. He especially loved watching Georgia Bulldog football games and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wives, Carolyn Joy Deaton Beasley and Oliene Kirby Beasley; his parents, Calvin Beasley and Ora Williamson Beasley; brothers, Ricky, Tony, Don and Arnold Beasley; and sisters, Joyce Beasley Oliva and Gail Beasley Cloud.

His family includes four children, Jennifer Strange and husband Ricky of Oak Park, Cortney Gaddy and husband Chris of Jackson, Georgia, Gary Beasley and wife Erin of McRae, and Michelle Heady of East Providence, Rhode Island; two brothers, Wayne Beasley of Oak Park and Lonnie Michael Beasley and spouse Allen of Waycross; eleven grandchildren, Allison, Rick, Madison, Jaxon, Jonathan Gary, Brayden, Brody, Vinnie, Dylan, Anthony and Nick; four great-grandchildren, Hudson, Dylaney, Anson and Shelby; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, February 28th at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00.

The funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon, February 29th at 2:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Kirby Cemetery near Oak Park.
