Memorial marker is in the Plott Family Cemetery near his childhood home 88 Plott Valley Road and on the hillside behind Fairview Baptist Church in Waynesville, NC, not to be confused with the other Plott Family Cemetery in the woods on near Hazelwood Elementary School. His marker is beside his father John Amos Plott and mother Harriet Winchester Plott's graves. John's second wife Nora is buried in Green Hill Cemetery.
