Blaine E. "Shorty" Bedell, 77, retired truck driver and cook, died Friday, Nov. 3, 1989. Service 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Campbell Funeral Home.
Survivors: wife, Jean; daughter, Sheryl Noecker of Sheridan, Wyo.; stepson, George Matlock of Colorado Springs; stepdaughter, Sarah Franklin of Yates Center; brother, Myrhl of Branson, Mo.; sisters, Thelma Jenson, Pearl Blass, Georgia Hooper, Iris Miller, Ruby McKay, Gayle Boatright, all of Topeka, Arlene Brault of Clifton Heights, Pa., Jo Ann Goff of Overbrook, Laverne Struble of Schaller, Iowa; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren. Memorial has been established with Turkey Creek United Methodist Church.
