Loretta Turner Buchanan, 63, of Waycross died Wednesday morning (April 30, 2008) at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Millwood to the late Bill and Ruby King Turner and lived in Ware County all of her life. Ms. Buchanan was a Homemaker and a member of Zion Hill Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry David Buchanan, her sister, Lucille Davis, her brother, Leroy Turner, son-in-law, Ronald Frick, brother-in-law, J.E. Walker, two nephews, Roy Turner and David Davis, two nieces, Dale Strickland and Nella Arnold.
Survivors include one daughter, Rita L. Frick, Waycross, one son, Johnnie Sears, Waycross, one grandson, Brandon Frick, Waycross, one sister, Lois Arnold Walker, Waycross, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 am at Zion Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 - 8 pm at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
