John Mitchell Agee, 73, LaFayette, died today at Fort Campbell Army Hospital after an apparent heart attack.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hughart Funeral Home with Walter Edwards and Charles L. Houser officiating. Burial will be in Fort Donelson Military Cemetery, Dover, Tenn.
A Crockett County, Tenn. native, he was born Jan. 14, 1907, the son of Andrew Jackson and Laura Gregory Agee. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ and retired from the Army as a sergeant first class after 27 ½ years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Katybel Agee, a son, Jon M. Agee, Franklin, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs. George (Marie) Reeves, Madisonville, a brother, Lots Agee, Dyersburg, Tenn., a sister, Pearl Smith, Dearborn, Mich., three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
