Daughter of John Asper and Nancy "Annie" (Holmes) Asper. Rebecca married George D. Reamer July 21, 1879. She had a brother named Wibert Stephen Asper who lived in Illinois. Her obituary was found in the March 4 1927 Newport, Perry County The News: "Mrs. Rebecca Reamer, widow of the late George D. Reamer died Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. O. Andrews at Mapleton, Huntingdon Co. of a complication of diseases after a short illness, aged 69 years 10 months and 13 days. She was the daughter of the late John and Annie Asper, and was born in Centre Township having spent practically all her life in Newport and vicinity and lived for many years at the old Reamer home at the foot of Oremine ridge. For a number of years she resided on Sixth street. For about 1 1/2 years she had been living with her daughter. A son, Frank Reamer of Columbia, also survives, as do also 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. W. S. Asper of Muscatine, Iowa, and Mrs. Emma Clouser of East Newport are her surviving brother and sister. July 21, 1879 she was united in marriage to her late husband who died about 5 years ago. Funeral services were yesterday afternoon at the East Newport Church of God, with the pastor Rev. T. V. Miller officiating and interment in Newport Cemetery. Grandchildren were pallbearers."
