Benjamin S. Lane, 79, 878 Davis Lane, died Monday, September 8, 2003, in Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 16, 1924, Wood, PA, he was a son of the late William & Verna (Park) Lane.

Mr. Lane was a member of Hustontown Church of God. He had been an equipment specialist at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA. Mr. Lane served in the Army from 1943-1945.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys Duvall Lane, 6 sons; Raymond, Dennis, John, Fred, Ben, Mark, 2 daughters; Leona and Linda, 18 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a brother William (Hustontown), 4 sisters; Luella, Lois, Carol, and Gretchen. He was preceded in death by a son, Tom, a brother Walter, and a sister Dora Keebaugh.

Service will be at 11 AM Friday in Hustontown Church of God. The Rev, Kurtis Frampton will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Hustontown. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM today and one hour prior to the service in the church. Serviced will be performed under the direction of Kelso-Corneliius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, PA
