Funeral services for Maynard Wells, 30, of 717 Ridgecrest Road will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. The Rev. James Yeary will officiate with burial in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Wells was killed Saturday in an auto accident in Chambers Co., Ala.

The body will be at Maddox-Page Funeral Home from Friday morning until the funeral service on Saturday.

The family will receive friends at their home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday.

It is the request of the family that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Troup County Unit of the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Wells.

Mr. Wells, of 717 Ridgecrest Road, had lived in LaGrange all of his life and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He worked in the finishing department of Shorewood Packaging Corp.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Sara Wells Seals; stepfather, Earl Seals of LaGrange; three brothers, Edward Descombe Wells III of Marietta, Dr. Thomas B. Wells of Smyrna, and Charles Adair Wells, of the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk in the Arabian Sea; one stepsister, Emily Ann Seals of LaGrange; and one stepbrother, William Burnett Seals of LaGrange.

Flowers will be accepted but those desiring may contribute to the Troup County Unit of the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Wells.
