Commerce-- Ann Norwood, 69, of Campbell went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 27, 2008, followinf a courageous battle against Pancreatic cancer. A graveside services is scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Brigham Cementer with Rev. Beverly Hughes officiating. A family gathering is from 1 p.m. until service time today at Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home in Commerce.

Born Jan. 28, 1939, in Albuquerque, N.M., she was the daughter of Harvey K. and Myrtle Mae Worley Barlow.

She worked as a temporary instructor in the Department of Home Economics at East Texas State University from 1964 to 1968. Howeever her true love was being a devoted wife to Jim and a proud parent to Kent and Keri and doting Nana to Camron, Spence, Caden, Bryce, Cassie and Carson. Ann had be en a member of First Presbyterian Church of Commerce since 1965.

She was an active member of the Dames Club, a 4-H leader for many years, looked foward to her bi-monthly bridge club where she enjoyed the fellowship of wonderful friends, and she was a proud Aggie Mom. Ann graduated from Valley High School in Albuquerque, N.M.

She received her B.S. degree in nutrition from the University of New Mexico and a M.S. degree in institutional management from Kansas State Unversity.

While attending Kansas State , Ann met her loving husband, Jim. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on Dec. 27, 2007. She always enjoyed going back to the mountains for family vacations. In the winter they enjoyed snow skiing and in the summer, fishing. She was a wonderful fly fishman. As her children grew, she enjoyed serving as a 4-H leader She taught many children how to prepare food dishes.

She helped Kent and Keri raise Jersey cattle that they showed throughtout the state, An absolutely loved seeing her grandchildren compete in sports, watch their school programs and play board games with them
Survivors are her husband, James Spencer Norwood; a son
, James Kent Norwood and wife Marcy Leeann; daughter Kerri Daneen Costa and husband Steve Manuel; and grandchildren James Spence Norwood, Bryce Downs Norwood, Cassie Nicole Norwood, Camron Tavares Costa, Caden James Costa and Carson Manuel Costa

Pallbearers are Colin Curtis, Robert K. Williams, Jerry Davies, Ronnie White, John Paul Rhodes, and Neal Stewart. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Commerce
