Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Sexton, 59, were held October 28 at the Lighthouse Church. Burial was in Amburgey-Gibson Cemetery at Pistol City.

He died October 25 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital.

A son of the late John and Minnie Gibson Sexton, he was the father of the late Roger Sexton, and a grandfather of the late Kevin Sexton.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Amburgey Sexton; two sons, Jason Sexton and wife Kim, and Scott Sexton and wife Sue, all of Deane; two daughters, Anna Sexton and Emily Callahan and husband Josh, all of Deane; five brothers, Norman Sexton, Kernel Sexton and Boliver Sexton, all of Colson, and Oliver Sexton and Frances Sexton, both of Eolia; four sisters, Nora Logan and Linda Sue Humphrey, both of Colson, Marietta Caudill of Michigan, and Connie Cook of Little Colley; five grandchildren, Kassie, Ava, Ava Katherine, Harley and Jebby; and two step-grandchildren, Tiffany and Jeremiah.

Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
