Gene Marshall Allen, 67, Overbrook, died Monday, Feb 10, 2003, at a Topeka hospital.

Mr Allen drove a truck fro Comet-North American in Topeka for 20 years. He later was a technician at the Central Repair Facility at Forbes Industrial Park in Topeka for 21 years.

He was born June 7, 1935, in Gordon, Neb., to Noah Virgil and Trilby Ray Haddock Allen. He attended Gordon schools and graduated from Gordon High School in 1953. He moved to Overbrook from Topeka in 1974.

He married Glenda Yvonne Cook on Feb 14, 1959, in Burlington. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Marshall S Allen, Topeka; a daughter, Paula J Buckner, Topeka; five sisters, Dorothy Timm, Gordon, Neb, Virginia Wirzfeld, Scranton, Linda Beightel, Dennison, Karen Marlow, in Georgia and Suan Bame, Overbrook; and five grandchildren.

Services were Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Overbrook. Burial was in Overbrook Cemetery, Greenwood-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home in Overbrook was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America and sent in care of the funeral home, Box 268, Overbrook 66524.
