Funeral service for Elmer L. Kirby, 84, Kiowa, who died in a local nursing home last Friday, was held Saturday in Chaney's Chapel, with Rev. Dee Skaggs officiating.
Burial was in the Kiowa Cemetery under the direction of Chaney's Funeral Home.
Born in Mt. Vernon, Mo., September 10, 1875 Kirby had lived in Kiowa for the past 20 years. His wife preceded him in death in 1958.
Survivors are two brothers, Fred C. Kirby, Quinton and C. L. Kirby, Boswell; a sister, Mrs. Maude Basden, Enterprise.
