Hazel was the wife of (1)Norman H Johnson & (2)George Betschart. She was the mother of Janet Stumey Johnson; Dennis, Susan & Vicky Betschart.

Hazel E Betschart, age 62, a resident of 1670 Utopia Road, Sedro-Woolley, died Monday, March 3 at her home near Sedro-Woolley. She was born August 6, 1917 at Acme, Washington and had been a resident of Sedro-Woolley for the past 30 years. She attended schools in Acme and Concrete. She graduated from Forks High School in 1933 and attended the Bellingham Business School.
Survivors include one son Dennis of Sedro-Woolley; three daughters, Susan Bentz and Vicki Rex, both of Sedro-Woolley and Janet Hendrickson of Spokane; one sister, Gladys Fox of Port Angeles; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Rex, Aaron Rex, Lori Russell and Judy Childs and two great grandchildren, Robbie Russell and Stephen Childs.
Graveside services were held Friday, March 7 at 1 p.m. at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with Pastor Robert Johnson of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating.
