Jonathan Scott Hughes ("Scott") was born to Jennifer Hughes on May 3, 1986 in Santa Ana, California. Jennifer's parents, Janet and Reginald Hughes, adopted him when he was 13 months old. He passed away on April 27, 2008.

Scott was a very happy, intelligent and energetic boy who brought joy to his family. He always had something going on. He often entertained family and friends with his music (some of which he composed), his guitar and his singing, with a big smile on his face. He had a great sense of humor. He loved going boating, camping and fishing with his dad and friends. He, his dad and friends (Brendan, Trevor, Brock, Steve and Jessie) built a tree house in his back yard. His nieces and nephews thought he was the greatest.

Scott is survived by his parents, Reginald and Janet Hughes; his grandmothers Elaine Langford and Alva Hughes; his siblings and their spouses, Robert and Lisa Hughes, Jennifer Hughes and Howard Mittleman, Jonathan and Sarah Hughes, Daniel and Christy Hughes, Jelene and Wyatt Cullen, Elaine and Andrew Atkinson, Sarah Hughes, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

All are invited to a Celebration of Scott's Life from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 at the Slate Canyon 6th Ward at 1315 East 900 South, Provo, Utah.
Interment will be at Provo City Cemetery.
