Mabel Christensen Bumgarner, age 98, died on April 29, 2008, in Salt Lake City.






She was born on September 23, 1909, in Mt. Pleasant to Christian Soren Christensen and Annie Eliza Nielsen-Axelsen. She married Robert H. Bumgarner Sr. in Bountiful, Utah. Mom was a veracious reader. She held many offices in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and leadership positions in her LDS Ward. Her main hobbies were her family, home, gardening and traveling.








She is survived by daughters, Luana Dean, Jean Palmer, and Sharon (Lanny) Berger; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Bumgarner Sr.; daughter, Barbara Kraus Tolman; son, Robert H. Bumgarner Jr. and four grandchildren.






Funeral Services will be held on Sat., May 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Emerson LDS Ward Chapel, 1621 S. 1100 E., Salt Lake City, UT. A Viewing will be held on Fri., May 2, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S., Salt Lake City, UT and one hour prior to Services at the Church.
Interment to follow the Services at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
