AUBURNDALE -- Mr. Demetrios Xinos of Auburndale died of cancer Saturday (Jan. 22, 2005) at home. He was 56.Born in Rome, Ga., on Aug. 22, 1948, he came to Auburndale from Nashville, Tenn., in 1971. He was a biomedical technician. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Abundant Life Church of God.Mr. Xinos is survived by his wife, Carol E. Xinos; sons, Antonios Xinos, Huntsville, Ala., Michael Xinos, Lakeland; stepsons, Larry Walker, Kenneth Willhoite and James Walker, all of Lakeland, Steven Walker, Hudson, Timothy Walker and Robert Willhoite, both of Auburndale, Eric Willhoite, Muncie, Ind.; stepdaughters, Kelly Wagoner, Spring Hill, Kimberly Miller, Hudson; brothers, Michael Xinos, Phoenix, Donnie Meurer, Orlando; sister, Darlene Cowley, Lakeland; 25 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lanier Funeral Home, 717 W. Griffin Road, Lakeland. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel.
