Charles A. Aikman, 81, route 1, Bunker Hill, died Monday afternoon at the Glen Rest Convalescent home southwest of Peru.
Survivors include the widow and two sons, Paul Aikman, of Scymour(sic), and Carl Aikman, of Peru. Surviving also are a brother, Jack Aikman, Bunker Hill route one; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Two sons, one sister and three brothers are deceased.
A pipe-fitter by trade, the deceased was a member of the Washington Avenue Wesleyan Methodist church. He was born in Wabash county on December 3, 1867, a son of Abner and Susan Abshire Aikman. On March 18, 1892, he was married in Wabash to Nina Tibbs, who survives as the widow.
The body was removed to the Wise funeral home.
