MRS SKELLEY OF CICERO TAKEN DURING NIGHT
Mrs. James Skelley, former resident of Malta and DeKalb and for the past six years living at the home of her son in Cicero, passed away last night about 10:00 o’clock from pneumonia. Mrs. Skelley has not been in the best of health for several years, but for the past few days has been suffering with what was considered a mild cold. Her son insisted on her seeing a doctor on Sunday who pronounced the illness as pneumonia, which rapidly taxed her strength resulting in death last evening.
Mrs. Skelley lived in the Malta community for a number of years, where her husband farmed. They left the farm and made their home in DeKalb for some time, going to Chicago about six years ago to make their home with their son. Mr. Skelley passed away two years ago this month.
Mrs. Skelley who was 75 years of age, leaves two children, her son, Chester, at whose home she passed away and a daughter, Mrs. Alva Freeman of Malta. There are many friends about the DeKalb and Malta communities grieved at her passing.
Funeral services are to be held on Thursday morning at 9:00 o’clock in Cicero and burial will be there.
