Kenneth Albaugh Jr. Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant

Kenneth J. Albaugh has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army following successful completion of the Officer Candidate course at teh Infantry School at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Lt. Albaugh is the son of Mr. and Mrs. K.J. Albaugh Sr., 518 Washington Street, Marshall. He was inducted into the army on December 9, 1942 and served in the 53rd Infantry Battalion at Camp Wolters, Texas, before going to Officer Candidate School three months ago. He had the rank of corporal before being commissioned.

Lt. Albaugh graduated from Marshall high school with the class of 1937. He was unusually active as a debator and in other speech activities during his high school days.
