Member of Weber County Draft Board Dies, Aged 67 Years

Anson Charles Call, 67, years old, died at 7:30 o'clock at a local hospital after six weeks illness from bladder trouble. He was born at Fillmore, Utah, March 29, 1854 the son of Josiah and Henrietta Williams Call. The early part of his life was spent in Bountiful, Davis county and he later settled in Rich County at Woodruff. He served as a County Commissioner and sheriff for twenty years and held numerous other positions.
He helped in the installation of the first canal in that part of the state and served as president of the company for a number of years.
He was an active member of the L.D.S. Church. Mr. Call came to Ogden in 1908 and took up his residence at West Ogden. During the war he was a member of the Weber county draft board. His widow and the following children survive:
Charles J. Call, Mrs. Louise McKinon, Willis Call, Elias Call, Ethel Lowe, Carrie Neville, Orvis A. Call and Clive Call. Thirty-five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
The body was removed to the Lincoln and Company Parlor. Funeral arrangements will be made later.
