He was born September 29, 1925 in Davie County, NC the son of the late David Fleming and the late Ozie McDaniel Fleming.
Mr. Fleming attended Davie County Schools and retired from A&P and later worked part-time for Winn Dixie. He was a member of Landmark Church and Bob Younts Sunday School Class.
He was preceded in death by a son Tony Eugene Fleming who died August 21, 1969 and a grandson Jeffrey Mize on April 2, 1984, brothers Mitchell and Martin Fleming and sisters May Buie, Annie Grubb and Polly Morefield.
Survivors include wife Ruth Linebarger Fleming whom he married May 20, 1944, daughter Sylvia F.M. Young and husband Billy of Granite Quarry, brother Ed Fleming of Salisbury, twin sister Dora Jones of Mocksville, step-granddaughters Sherry Y. Bowens and husband Donnie of Linwood and Amy Y. Daniels and husband Eddie of Florida, and 7 step-great grandchildren.
