She was preceded in death by her husband Elton Parnell; her parents, Zachariah and Blanche Goins; son, Stephen Mittman, brothers, Daniel Goins, J.K. Goins, Thomas Goins and Willie Lee Goins, sisters, Catherine Phipps, Patsy Brown, Elsie Brown, Betty Goins; and former husband, Robert Mittman.
Ethel leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Rosemary Cox and husband Minister Bill Cox of Galax, Jennifer Bryan of Maple Shade, New Jersey, Pammie Castillo and husband Alberto of Galax, and Penny France of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; her son, Thomas Goins of the home; twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
