Dr. William States Lee died at his residence, 1118 Commerce street, this morning at 10:45 o'clock, after a prolonged and painful illness. The funeral will probably take place to-morrow afternoon. A service will be held in St. Matthews' cathedral, after which, the remains will be conveyed to Trinity cemetery. Dr. Lee was an old and
respected citizen of Dallas, and his death will be mourned by a large circle of friends.
Mr. Watson, a son-in-law of the deceased, arrived this morning early from his home in Florida.
