Morgan Williams, age 65 went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 26, 2008. He was born in Baker, Florida and had resided in Jay, Florida for the last 24+ years. He worked for the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office in 1970. He worked for the Santa Rosa County School Board in 1987. He was a member of the Jay Chapter Masonic Lodge. He was loyal to his friends and neighbors and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian Williams and daughter, Bobbie Dawanna Williams. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Elizabeth Williams. Son, Monty Williams; Daughter, Jennifer (Ken) Ashworth; Son, Shannon (Holly) Williams; Daughter, Deborah (Art) Dales; Daughter, Tammy (Ray) Holland; Daughter, Tracy Bell; Daughter, Ashley (Angel) Collins; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandsons; brother, Arnold (Pat) Williams and uncle, Hayward (Hilda) Williams.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home with Brother Earnie Calhoun officiating services. Burial will follow at Golden Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and Dr. Jeffrey Kelly for the compassionate care given to Morgan.
