She is loved by all her family and will be missed greatly. Karen spent the first part of her life in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to Germany for several years while her father served in the Air Force. The family then moved back to Phoenix where her first jobs were at Revlon and Digital Equipment Corporation. At Digital, she met her husband Walt and they both moved to Colorado Springs when a job opportunity presented itself. She worked on the assembly line for a time until she was hired in the Accounting Department at Digital. She stayed there until she quit working so she could stay at home and raise her children.
