She was born on Jan. 17, 1927, to Wilbur G. and Esther (Buckles) Groff at Wenatchee. She was raised and attended schools in Cle Elum, graduating from Cle Elum High School. She then moved to Wenatchee, where she began working for Hayes Cleaners doing alterations.
On July 12, 1952, she married Don Woods at Wenatchee, where they've since made their home. Mrs. Woods continued working for Hayes Cleaners until 1988, when she retired due to ill health.
Survivors include her husband, Don, at home; one daughter, Brenda Lee Weston, Wenatchee; her mother, Esther Groff, Wenatchee; and two sisters, Vera Goytowski, East Wenatchee, and Velma Jean Boucher, Missoula, Mont. She was preceded in death by her father in 1975.
