Mrs. Fair was born in Fayette County, a daughter of Robert and Caroline Hollingshead Haslett.
She was a member of the Vandalia Pentecostal Church.
She married Samuel Markwell 18 Oct.1894, he died 8 January 1916. She married Charles in 1918 and he died 22 June 1926.
Surviving are a son, Rev. Grover Markwell of San Diego, Ca. daughters, Mrs. Charles (Wilma) Cottrell of Van Buren, Ark., Mrs. Maurice (Goldie)Tolly and Mary Markwell of both of Decatur; Step sons, Hugh and James Fair, both of Wood River, Il. Stepdaughter, Rev. Eva Hunt of Pana; brother, Kim Haslett of St. Elmo; seven grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 16 great great-grandchildren.
Three daughters; two brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.
