David and Elizabeth were the parents of Luther Nichols Eoff, M S Eoff (d.y.), Ethel (Eoff) Harris and Charlie Crumpler Eoff. They raised another child, Hallie Eoff, who was either a foster son or an adopted son. David A Eoff in his early years was a farmer and stock dealer. He was elected county sheriff of Boone County, Arkansas and held that position for several consecutive terms. Some time after 1900 the family moved to Holdenville, Hughes County, Oklahoma where he, again, was county sheriff. They were Democrats and members of the Baptist Church. Elizabeth died in 1911 at the age of fifty-three years.
