The daughter of the late Paris and Lottie Roberts Hammons, she was born on Williams River August 6, 1911.
Mrs. Buzzard is survived by a daughter, Edith Parker and a son, Leo Buzzard, both of Huntersville; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin E. Buzzard; a daughter, Dorothy Davis; two sons, Robert Buzzard and Frank Buzzard; six sisters, Ruie Hammons, Maggie Parker, Nancy McCoy, Bessie Shelton, Bea Hammons, and Emma Roberts; and three brothers, Sherman Hammons, Burl Hammons, and John Hammons.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home by Pastors Jerry Moore and Denver Davis, with burial in the Cochran Cemetery on Stony Creek. Visitation Wednesday from 7 to 9.
