ROUGEMONT -- Carrie Monk DUKE, 91, formerly of Jim Latta Road, Rougemont, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999 at the Person County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. DUKE was daughter of the late John Lewis and Rosa Walters Monk, wife of the late Robert William DUKE and mother of the late Audrey D. Denny. She was a member of the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 50 years. Mrs. DUKE was retired from the manufacturing industry.
Surviving are one son, Robert A. "Bobby" DUKE of Roxboro; two grandchildren, Phyllis D. Gentry and Bonnie D. Regan both of Roxboro, and four great-grandchildren: Adam and Jeffrey Gentry and Ronnie and Alan Regan all of Roxboro.
