Orphan's Court September 9 1871. The Account of Samuel Markle, Admr. to the will annexed of George Markle, late of Chanceford twp, York Co deceased. George Markle died in the year 1842 seized of a certain real and personal estate, and left surviving him a widow Eve, also the following sons and daughters Henry, George, Adam, John, Samuel, Eve married to Jacob Crout, Barbara married to Peter Hurn, Catherine married to Christian Shofe, Elizabeth to Jacob Miller, Lydia married to George Miller, Peggy married to Samuel Deakman, and Fanny married to John Hawk. That since the death of said George Markel the following named children died, leaving children surviving them who are entitled to their parents share in said estate, children's name who are dead as follows to wit: Henry, George, Adam, Barbara, Catherine, Lydia, and Peggy that in the will of the decedent the following clause appears viz. "as to the rest of my real and personal property of which kind or nature so ever the same may be I leave and bequeath to my beloved wife Eve for her use during her natural life and as soon after he decease as can be done, it is my will and I order and direct the whole of my real and personal property be sold and divided equally betwixt my children share and share alike said will bearing date Jun 4, 1839 proved Jan 31, 1843. That Eve Markel the widow of said decedent died on the 30th day of April 1870. After the sale and paying all debts the balance left was $943.42. the audit 43.42 is deducted which leaves for distribution the amounts below
