Elizabeth Anne Boedeker, 89, of Liberty, MO, formerly of Marshall, MO, died Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home in Liberty.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church or Our Lady of Mercy County Home in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born November 15, 1934, in Shackelford, MO, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Linn Castle and Alberta Pittman Castle. On August 14, 1954, she married Sidney A. "Sid" Boedeker who preceded her in death on April 21, 1994. Anne worked for Farmers Savings Bank, Boatmen's Bank and Nation's Bank. She lived in Marshall and Malta Bend most of her life until moving to Our Lady of Mercy County Home in July of 2020. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, PEO Sisterhood, numerous bridge clubs, duplicate bridge club and Pocahontas Golf Club.

 

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy (Don) Paulus, of Scottsdale, AZ, Marcia (Walter Johnson) Boedeker of The Villages, FL and Mary Carol (Tom) Melling of Kansas City; four grandchildren, Alyssa and Jared Paulus of Scottsdale and Kyle and Paige Melling of Kansas City; one sister, Bernadette Cleary of the Kansas City area; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Anne was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Kathryn Gauldin; and two brothers, Harold "Bud" Castle and Fred Castle.
