Ethel Kilgore, 102, died at 9:20 p.m. on November 24, 2006 at Bradner Village Health Care.

Ethel was born to the late Tine and Eva Mae (Slaughter) Figgins. She married Waldo Kilgore on March 20, 1920. He preceded her in death on Oct 9, 1974. She had been a bookkeeper for the Swayzee Telephone Company, a 50 year member of the Swayzee Order of the Eastern Star and a past member of the Swayzee Home Ec Club.

Survivors include her children, Joan (Curt) Fox, Swayzee; Gene (Madeline) Kilgore, Swayzee; Max (Phyllis) Kilgore, Orange City, Fla.; sister, Louise Marks, Naples, Fla.; grandchildren, Bill (Evelyn) Kilgore, Sandra (Kenneth) Castor, Janet (Jim) Corn, Steve (Janet) Fox and Dan (Patty) Fox; 16 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Fern Hickman, Mary Thomas and Evelyn Powell; and 2 grandchildren, Linda Wood and Mark Kilgore.

Funeral Service is at 10 a.m., Tuesday at Needham-Storey-Wampner, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington Street, with Rev. James Miller officiating. Burial will be at Thrailkill Cemetery.
