Mrs. Durham graduated from Holy Angels Academy in Jonesboro before marrying and moving to Illinois, where she started her own business, "House of Draperies", making drapes for many famous people. She was an excellent seamstress, sewing wedding dresses for many brides amongst other items. Jane and Walter moved back to Wynne in 1990, after retiring and she became a devoted member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed square dancing, camping, bowling, playing bunko and online shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter: Cathy Durham, three brothers: Phillip Mohr, Fred Mohr, Vincent Mohr and his wife: Viola.
Survivors include: one son: Ralph Durham and wife Debbie of Mundelein, Illinois, one daughter: Karen McPherson and husband John of Goodyear, Arizona, two brothers: Frank Mohr and wife Margie of Wynne, Jack Mohr and wife Barbara of Orland Park, Illinois, two sisters: Anna Williams and husband David of North Carolina, Judy Reillo and husband Chu of Florida, two sisters-in-law: Barbara Mohr of Tinley Park, Illinois, Polly Mohr of Wynne and Emily Adams, who was like a granddaughter to Wally and Jane.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 17, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wynne from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m., a memorial mass will immediately follow. Burial will be at a later date in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville, Illinois.
