Shannon Dee-Sha Grimes Harvey, a beloved member of the Clarksville community, passed away on February 10, 2024, after a brief illness. Born on December 10, 1970, in Clarksville, Shannon was the daughter of Wanda Faye Cherry and the late George Thomas Grimes. She was lovingly married to Mark Harvey and together they shared a beautiful life filled with love and joy.


Shannon was a remarkable individual who dedicated her life to helping others. She worked as a Paramedic for both Houston and Cheatham County EMS and was a valued member of the ambulatory teams. Her compassion and commitment to providing exceptional emergency medical care to those in need will always be remembered.


Throughout her life, Shannon cherished spending quality time with her family. Whether it was sharing laughter during family gatherings or creating lasting memories, she embraced these moments with utmost love and affection. Her devotion and care for her family were truly unparalleled.


Shannon exemplified strength and resilience throughout her life. Her caring nature touched the lives of many, making her an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her husband Mark; their sons Matthew (Kayla) Harvey and Christopher (Kelsey) Harvey; their daughter Whitney Lee Grimes; her mother Wanda Faye Cherry and stepfather Carmen Cherry; her brother Sean (Donna) Grimes; her brother Shane (Melinda) Grimes; as well as her granddaughter Adrianna Harvey and grandsons Brooks Harvey and Bryson Harvey.


In addition to being a dedicated professional and a loving family member, Shannon was known for her kind-hearted nature that extended beyond her work and family life. Her presence brightened any room she entered, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she crossed paths with. Additionally, Shannon loved her grandchildren immensely and likewise, her grandchildren cherished their "Mimi."


Friends and loved ones are invited to attend visitation services honoring Shannon's life. The visitation will be held on February 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1:30 PM at the same location. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Shane Grimes, Sean Grimes, Zach Harvey, Matt Harvey, Chris Harvey, Grant Hill, Christopher Huff and, Kage Grimes.


Shannon's dedication to her work and her unwavering love for her family and friends will forever remain in our hearts. Her legacy as an exceptional paramedic and a compassionate individual will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in peace.
